Breastfeeding information and support

Do you have any questions about or would you like support with your baby’s feeding?

Our aim is to enable you to have an enjoyable and fulfilling breastfeeding experience.

Breastfeeding information in pregnancy

An individual consultation in our clinic or the comfort of your home will give you the opportunity to receive personal one to one information from one of our breastfeeding counsellors during your pregnancy. An individual consultation during pregnancy will give you the opportunity to learn about breastfeeding and feel more confident.

You can also invite us to facilitate a session on breastfeeding preparation or support with a group of antenatal or postnatal friends. This will give you the benefit of learning and sharing with others and will help to develop friendships and ongoing breastfeeding support.

Breastfeeding support once you have your baby

An individual consultation in the comfort of your home with you and your baby will help you achieve comfortable breastfeeding and increase confidence in your abilities.

A detailed breastfeeding history will be taken and with your consent, examination of your baby’s mouth, your breasts and your breastfeeding technique. You will be supported through any breastfeeding challenges for example we have supported women in the past who faced some of those issues or more.
