Isabelle Karimov is an experienced Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Counsellor and Baby Massage Instructor and has supported over 3000 couples in the past 12 years. Her passion is in being able to offer parents holistic information to support them through pregnancy, birth and the early weeks of parenting.
Having been trained by Dr Michel Odent and worked as a doula, Isabelle has been welcomed onto local labour wards and at home to support women during labour, and has been present at over 10 births. She has gone on to complete 2 University Diplomas, one in Antenatal Education (2009) and one in Breastfeeding Counselling (2013). She is has also followed various haptonomic and osteopathic trainings in France (www.nferaido.com) and Belgium (www.naissanceaffective.com). She has recently trained to become a Spinning Babies® parent educator and is keen to offer this new paradigm to local parents.
Isabelle has also worked closely with Midwives and Health Visitors for the past five years, as a member of the Infant Feeding Team (Birmingham Community Healthcare Trust – NHS). She co-delivers trainings to health visiting teams and runs audits of the infant feeding services city-wide.
Her passion and empathy drive her to genuinely care about each of her clients. Her main interests remain with access to maternity and postnatal services for migrants and ethnic minorities. She is also an tutor for the NCT at the University of Worcester.
Isabelle is renowned for her unique style of teaching, and brings her continental sense of humour into all of her sessions.
In her spare time Isabelle is a mother of two, and lives with her long suffering and very supportive husband Aziz in the lovely of village of Bournville.
